A set of seven like-numbered Sound Prints silkscreen printed by Keegan Cooke at The Arm on 271 GSM French Grout Gray paper. These prints measure 18 x 24 inches.
Artist statement-
When the SOUND DRAWINGS are read they are simultaneously heard in your head. The sounds appear as musical constellations. I've recently started thinking of these drawings as the equivalent of architectural plans, mostly because they have already led to a new series of welded steel sculptures. The drawings could also be seen as musical scores. The sound events could be performed in the round, surrounding and infiltrating an audience.
These seven silkscreen prints are the first seven drawings from the series, each printed in gray ink on toned paper in an edition of twenty five.
